Privacy Legislation is unfounded and not needed.
I was not present for the debate this week due to a brutal cold I’ve had for the past week.
However, I wish to briefly share my opinion on the subject.
I think as a general rule Privacy Legislation is a good thing. I’m thinking of the spam calls and emails I get on a daily basis as is and only imagining how much worse this would be if we didn’t have laws governing it.
My concern is questioning how effective this privacy really is. I signed up for the do not call list, but I still get spam and marketing calls. Who knows, maybe I somehow indirectly signed up for it on some website.
My verdict is that even with all the spam and calls I get that Privacy Legislation is a good thing to have.
Just imagine if we didn’t have laws governing all this spam… there would be so much, we would probably stop using things like email all together. Or atleast as a marketer, customers would be so overwhelmed that any messages we send would get lost in the noise.
